3010. Seacliff State Beach, Sunset after Rain, April

The calm after a storm at Seacliff State Beach is accented with piles of driftwood and beach sculpture, colorful clouds reflecting in the waves and beach pools. The straight wharf points due-south beyond the bow of the SS Palo Alto creating a pedestrian pathway out to sea. The sunken ship has created an artificial reef which attracts a variety of sea life such as anemones, mussels, sea stars, and barnacles, much to the delight of anglers on the wharf above.
